Heini’s Cheese invites school groups to reserve a tour of the cheese making process at HEINI’S CHEESE. The Tour will cover the history of cheese, basic history of Amish and Mennonites, the history of Heini’s Cheese and the steps of the cheese making process.
Groups may request a basic curriculum packet that may be used to prepare students or to develop activities for follow up.
On occasion, an educational representative from HEINI’S CHEESE will be available to visit classrooms and present information on cheese making.

Heini’s Cheese offers free factory tours during the cheese making process. These tours are both entertaining and educational covering the history of cheese making, the basic history of the local community, the history and story of Heini’s Cheese and the steps of cheese making. Participants are able to view the cheese making process during the tour and ask questions.
Tour Times: The Free Factory Tour is given only during the actual cheese making process. Therefore, times will vary from day to day. However, most tours are given between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Tours generally last about 25 minutes.
